I recently discovered the amazing blog Gorgeous Shiny Things. Danika is an artist extraordinaire-- check out her blow-up of everybody's darling, Chiang Mai:
Well, this lady has a new business venture that, I predict, is going to take the world by storm. Before now,
most IKEA hacks looked like they at least started life as-- well, something from IKEA.
She did this absolutely gobsmacking hack for a client.

Apparently this project got her wheels turning, and she and a friend researched and found a way to produce fretwork that is designed to fit the fronts of IKEA drawers. So that your basic Malm goes from this:
to THIS!!!
Holy guacamole! I'm a pretty traditional modernist girl, and I love, love the top drawer's fret.
Your RAST can look like this:
These will come with semi-permanant self-adhesive tabs, and can be attached with something stronger, like brads or liquid nails. Paintable, too. This is seriously the greatest business idea I have ever seen. You can read all about them in more detail in Danika's post here.
Products go on sale next week and you better believe that I'll be stalking her blog until then waiting for an announcement about when and where to purchase!!

p.s. thank you for your dear comment!
That is fabulous! I usually walk by most of the Ikea dressers etc... since I go for a more traditional look. Some of those examples are right up my alley.
