Why I'm Smiling

Only one coat to go in the dining room. The color? Love. It.The first of four gallery-size prints going up in the hallway. I am very lucky to know two awesome children's photographers-- they did some spectacular pictures of John Harper and Grady when the little guy was born. I hemmed and hawed about buying the prints-- it was a LOT of money for us-- but I'm so glad I did. This one makes me smile every time I go by--it's the work of the very, very talented Andrea Halsey.

My yard
My boys.
Mr. JH will be four whole months old next week, and big brother Grady has learned about a dozen plant names and spends a good bit of time checking them out every day.
Mommy:"Oh, the Sweet William is opening up!" Grady: "No, Mommy, that's the di-an-fus." Well, excuse me.

More good things: my mom is coming in for a long weekend, we are baptising John Harper in his Great-Great-Grandfather's christening gown on Sunday, I'm getting two tons of pea gravel, 10 bags of composted manure and 40 bags of mulch to finish up the front yard. Full days. Wonderful days. Days full of wonderful-- and all the same to you-- wonderful weekend, everyone!

I love that color! It turned out great!

That also reminds me that I need to get my pregnancy picture/newborn pictures printed and framed. It's amazing how things end up on the procrastination list.

The boys look so cute! Kieran has that same baby bug.

That John Harper is such a chunky monkey! What a cutie he is! Grady so reminds me of Finn with that tractor tucked under his arm. Your yard looks gorgeous, and I can't wait to see the finished dining room. That color is amazing!

Your baby is adorable! He IS chunky, so is Leviah. I'm beginning to think all the babies born in the fall/early winter of '08 are chunchies...& agreed on the color, unusual but very classy!

So cute!! I love it when kids know the name of plants, I just think it's wonderful. My own child plays in the woods, and is learning all of our woodland wildflowers up here in New England. Just the best. Your garden is lovely! Ours is just poking up now, and finally we have some daffodil action. Love the dining room! Bold color for me too...

Love the color. The teal blues and greens are so warm and work with many colors. Hope to see more of the decor!
