We'll call this the post of the lamps. This one-- a cool disc shape--- I found thrifting in Carrboro during our bi-weekly run to Chapel Hill for Trader Joe's/Neil's Deli. Yum, yum and yum.
The ship painting-- it makes me so happy. It's kitsch, for sure, but I dig it. I'm trying to decide on painting the frame white-- thoughts?
Milk glass with gilt bands and a bronze base. $5 at the Goodwill-- me like--eee.
A celedon ginger jar-- this one is new (Hickory), via the thrift store. Perfect for the colors for the library I'm working on....
I diii-iiig this one. It's brass-- faux bamboo, and heavy. It's the perfect height for my favorite chair.
I can't wait to get home and start working on this bad boy. He needs a face-lift in the very worst way. I'm thinking black paint, marbled paper on the interior, and a little library display inside. Can't wait!!

there's a new Tupelo location! (i wish it were GSO). you should check that...& the French Broad chocolate place for a pick-me-up. love the lamps...i just shoved 2 of my faves into the attic.
Have fun on your road trip! I can wait to see pics/hear details. Great lamps!
Wait...how does the detour take you through Asheville? I thought it actually avoided Asheville, but usually would go through there? I'm confused. Well I'm glad you're excited by that fact! Tupelo Honey is great, but we're always partial to Barley's taproom. ;) Enjoy!
