My imaginary art collection

All those bare walls in the boys room are waiting to be filled.... at the pace I'm able to maintain right now, it's going to be a long wait, though.  To keep me inspired, here are a few of my favorites-- hopefuls and don't-I-wishes!

I saw these mobiles at our pool's auction this summer-- this talented man is a local craftsman.
If funds were unlimited I would choose this one:
This one, at $60, is more in line with our budget, though.  And, oh, so pretty.

I cry every single time I visit the Sugarboo Designs website.
I am a huge, sentimental, purple, sap, it appears, or maybe their work is really just that good.
I'm gathering supplies right now for a project inspired by their amazing pieces.  ( Do you think that's ethical if it's just for my own use?  I hope so.)

And speaking of Calder-- how about this lithograph?  The colors are spot-on.

And I like this one even more:

Hmmmm.... it might be time for another Craigslist selling spree.

Ha! I have an imaginary art collection, too!!!!
Husband and I love to attend art events. Before hand we decide how much (imaginary) money each of us can spend... and on the way home we reveal what we "bought". It's fun :)

Hopefully someday we will actually be SHOWING each other what we bought on the way home!

Oh, I love that you have an imaginary collection. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. Happy Thanksgiving... a little late. Giving thanks, though, for our cyber friendship.

I just found your blog and read the whole thing in two days. I live in Winston Salem and travel to Greensboro weekly for business. I wondered if you would be so kind as to share the names of your many thrifting stores? Particularly the one with clothing that still has the tags on. I have shopped in Thrill of the Hunt and the Salvation Army store on North Elm. I also have gone to the Goodwill in Brassfield but I was bit overwhelmed (too much stuff)! I hope you will continue to update this blog b/c I really enjoyed what I read. If you would prefer to email me the names of the stores, you may email me at tblazerjam@bellsouth.net Thank so much! Krisie
