My sustenance today between 7 am and 6 pm consisted solely and exclusively of this: a single slice of bread (freshly baked in our new bread machine) with a healthy slathering of mayo (only Hellman's Real Mayonnaise will do!) and fat, luscious slices of tomatoes fresh from our local market (I stood next to Kay Hagen to buy them. That was kind of cool.) Lather, rinse, repeat. Several times.
I'm not sure that I can promise that the same won't be true tomorrow.
Sorry for the sporadic posting. The summer is flying by, and when we're not at the pool I'm working on streamlining our lives so that the start of school in a few weeks won't be such a shock. I'll try to take some pictures and get back into regular posting soon!

Really? Kay? Wow. So... I'm excited cause I just purchased a thrifted bread machine on Sat. Ooo la la. Can't wait for that machine to make me some bread to go with my Hellman's and tomatoes. I only eat the big "H" too. Have you got any great bread machine recipes? Suddenly I'm in need.
success with the machine? looks tasty. you may have talked me into one...
We've been eating those alot too, generally with sliced avocado as well. Delicious!
I'm going to post about the bread machine-- I tried Soulemama's WHO bread, but I decided I don't think the cinnamon and brown sugar suits our needs, so I changed it up a little. I have been having problems with the top end of the loaf collapsing, which I can't figure out how to solve. Oh, well. It just means I get to eat that part when it comes out of the machine!
Dude...the farmer's market tomatoes? Really? I've been freezing them like crazy because I can't keep up!
You mean you don't grind your own wheat and make your own bread from scratch?? Man, I'm so disappointed in you. LOL! Seriously, I have an awesome whole wheat bread recipe you would love. I love to make rolls with it in addition to loaves. Yummo.
So glad I'm not the only one neglecting my blog. It seems many are these days. Enjoy your summer!
Kay Hagan just looks like she eats lots of fresh produce from local markets. Just something about her...
And, YEAH, get on the bloggin' girl! (jk, I'm one to talk considering my track record this summer compared to last!)
That looks like my lunch most days - except I skip the mayo and add fresh basil and a little bit of shredded parm. Love it!
Just discovered your blog BTW - it's awesome!
