It's good to have good friends...

My friend Joy, who chronicles her lovely, creative family on her blog An Art Family and I did a little gift exchange for our boys.  Her Finn is a Christmas Day baby, and my Grady is January 31 and John Harper is December 29.  Being the busy ladies we are, our birthday gift exchange happend a bit, well, after the birthdays.  I was so happy to open her little package a few days ago-- and my boys were so happy, too!  Belive it or not, these are their first hand-knit hats (other than the hats they got as going-home gifts from the Service Guild at the hospital...)
My boys are SUCH hat junkies.  Remember the Mopping Hat? I am (happy? embarassed?) to say that G wore his mopping hat---atop his new knit cap--crowned by a Viking helmet-- and my sunglasses, a turquoise shirt with a fuzzy llama on it, and his Satch and Sol boots out to the zoo the other day.

Grady told John Harper he looks like Bob Marley.  Mostly I just think he looks precious.

People told me there would be days like this---someday.  Now I see what they were talking about...
